Warning
If you have not read Being Me, DO NOT read this review is contains major spoilers!!!

Let me first start of my clarifying that this is a novella it is NOT a journal the only journals are Rebecca's four journals that were release prior to Being Me.

One of the things I loved about this novella was that it picked up right after the end of Being Me not sometime in the past or sometime way into the future.  Mark has been dealing with a lot lately and he is starting to come undone.  He flies out to New York when he discovers his mother has stage 3 breast cancer and needs to be by her side.  What surprises Mark is that his ride from the airport is a gallery employee by the name of Crystal.  Right away she's testing his control she doesn't want to be told what to do and isn't having it when Mark tells her what she should and shouldn't do.  Still reeling from the loss of Rebecca from the hands of another submissive he's slowly starting to lose his well maintained control and you watch him start to unravel very slowly.  He's hurting and it doesn't help matters that Rebecca was the closest thing he ever had to actually loving a woman and it's hard to watch because as much as he likes to pretend nothing is wrong he feels partly responsible for her death.

His feelings toward Crystal start to grow and as much as he wants to try to ignore the sexual tension between them it soon becomes too much.  She says it's only sex and changes nothing but I feel to the both of them it's so much more and you'll watch as he slowly starts to lose his control it's interesting to see this side of Mark because he's always some calm, cool, collected and in control of everything.  Which leads me to wanting to learn so much more about Mark and especially Crystal.  How much does Crystal know about Mark?  Does their relationship turn into more?  This was a great addition to the series and I cannot wait to find out what happens in the future!  Lisa has created another wonderful addition to this series and I absolutely loved it, 5 stars!
