“If you’re broken, I’ll fix you…
I’m only twenty-one and already damaged goods. A slut. A failure. A disappointment to my picture-perfect family as long as I can remember. I called off my wedding to William Bailey, the only man who thought I was worth fixing. A year later and he’s marrying my sister. Unless I ask him not to…
“If you shatter, I’ll find you…”
But now there’s Asher Logan, a broken man who sees the fractures in my façade and doesn’t want to fix me at all. Asher wants me to stop hiding, to stop pretending. Asher wants to break down my walls. But that means letting him see my ugly secrets and forgiving him for his.
With my past weighing down on me, do I want the man who holds me together or the man who gives me permission to break?

Let me first start off by saying that I absolutely loved this book.  I was expecting a girl who had Mr. Right and left and then ended up with Mr. Wrong only to go back to Mr. Right but that's not what this book was about at all.

In this book we meet Maggie who has returned home for good after being gone for a year only to end up at the wedding of her ex-fiance and her sister.  My heart really broke for Maggie because even though she left for a year because of the reason that she left it really was had to swallow that William is marrying her sister.  It's clear right from the start that William wants to marry her sister that is unless she tells him not to and to come back to her. As much as Maggie wants William back, he's with her sister now and she fights tooth and nail to stay away from him.  The wedding ends up being a disaster when someone releases a stink bomb only for the wedding to not occur and at the reception Maggie goes down by the shore only to run into a man that appears to be a wedding guest standing there.  He is a gorgeous man that has trouble written all over him but little does Maggie know Asher is not a wedding guest but her mother's next door neighbor.  He saves Maggie by agreeing to dance with her and she loves the feeling of being in his arms.  After he leaves and feeling sorry for herself she decides to resume her ritual of sneaking next door to go skinny dipping since her neighbor is never home and no one has ever seen him.  Little does she know that he is home and Asher comes out and finds her in the pool.  He joins her in there but while Maggie wants a fast lay, Asher doesn't want it to be like that and can tell right away that Maggie still has unresolved feelings for William.

Right from the beginning Asher is not what I expect at all he appears to be a bad boy of the worst kind from his looks and doesn't help that he's a former rock star.  He's sweet and kind and wants only what is best for Maggie.  As much as he wants to take her to bed he's determined to break down her walls and save her.  As much as Maggie wants to open up she's scared to no one knows the entire truth about why she left, not even William.  But when Asher revels that they have met before she begins to tell him everything.  So what do you do when your walls around your heart start to shatter?  When a man helps you to see that the events that led to your reputation were not your fault what do you do?  Do you go back to the man who wants to fix you or do you take a chance on a man who says he'll be there to save you when to shatter?

This book was absolutely brilliant and I highly recommend reading it.  I laughed, I cried, and cannot wait to read more of Lexi's work in the future, this was an easy one to rate 5 stars.
