Two words sum up my summer in paradise: Evan Ashford.

I have a life back home I must return to, though my heart battles this reality. What started as a carefree summer fling has become so much more. Evan has become so much more. He’s become everything. Cupping his face, I stare into his deep blue eyes, wanting to lose myself once more... needing to know he feels this too.

Although our connection won’t stop the summer’s end from rushing toward us or silence the demons Evan battles, I have faith our love can overcome the obstacles that will undoubtedly arise from us choosing to be together. I still worry… Will our good intentions be good enough? But I’m all in, willing to take the risk, knowing he can destroy my heart if I’m wrong.

Like a riptide, I was forever changed by one woman: Mallory Wray.
Our eyes meet and we spend a moment looking into the others’, reading the fear and the love that mingles within. I move slowly down and kiss her forehead, her nose, her eyelids, her cheeks, and her chin before I kiss her lips again—soft and gentle, not rushed, but sensual. She smiles and I die inside knowing that I won’t get to see her face every day. I’ve been spoiled by this sweet angel giving me all her days and nights. I possessively take hold of her wrists and like so many times before, the air stills as our connection intensifies. I can’t help myself when it comes to her.

I kiss her.
Rain pours down harder and I wrap my arms around her, engulfing her body, her love, her soul.

Noah cups my face, forcing me to look at him. His words are urgent as he stares straight into my eyes. “I will never treat you like that. You mean more to me than that, Mallory.” He pulls me by the arm and as if I don’t have a say in the matter, I go stumbling behind him.
“Mallory!” Evan calls, and though I know better, my heart still aches for him.
Looking over my shoulder, Murphy and Zach have him restrained. My eyes catch movement nearby, and I see his mom and Kelly smiling in their victory. I move forward, needing to be free from the hate of their contemptuous eyes, needing a minute away from everything to do with a future snuffed out. They planted the seed and let us destroy each other. A conversation that should have happened during more sober times, forced itself into our lives, and now we’ll pay the price for the hurt we’ve caused. Both of us walk away wounded in a battle over egos and lies, a battle that should have never been waged.
Just as I round the corner, a strangled cry halts my escape and every breath in my body.
“Don’t leave me, Baby! I love you!”

***WARNING - If you have not read Good Vibrations, you will need to read it prior to reading Good Intentions and reading this review***

In Good Vibrations, they worked against the odds and forged a relationship unlike one they've had before.  Evan is used to keeping women and arm's length and discarding them when he's finished, Mallory having been hurt and cheated on back home in Colorado was only looking for a good time with a man to help her forget and instead ended up giving her heart to Evan instead.

But with every relationship, there are tests that must be faced.  The return of his ex Kelly a woman unwilling to give up her claim on "her man."  Remember Kelly?  For those of you that don't remember her, she's the girl in the airport kissing Evan at the beginning of Good Vibrations.  She'll do anything to keep Evan, even enlisting the help of his mother who doesn't like Mallory.

The there's Noah.  The man who wanted to take Mallory from Evan, the man who wants to make her forget all about his enemy.  But does Noah have a hidden agenda?  Does he really care about Mallory or is he out to hurt Evan and take away something from him the way his sister Lani was taken from him?  Everyone has secrets, and Noah has his own.  Am I going to tell you?  NOPE.

Through it all, they stick to another trying spend what little time they have left together before she returns to Colorado and he returns to New York to keep the company within the Ashford family.

When they both leave and go their separate ways, can they overcome the odds and stay together?  Or will distance, time, and circumstances keep them out of each other's arms forever.  Will Evan resort to his old bachelor ways when he returns to New York or has Mallory really changed him for the better?  When she returns to Colorado and college life what happens when she's forced to see Will again and meet a new man?  In the end will their love be enough?

I loved all the twists and turns of this story.  I enjoyed watching the changes within Evan in Good Vibrations, but it was taken to a whole new level in Good Intentions.  To watch them both grow and learn from one another was a journey all on it's own.  i cannot wait to see what happens in the third and final book and if they can get their HEA.  With so many factors working against them on all sides, I really do hope they make it through, 4 stars.
