***This series is meant to be read after reading the Brie series in which Brie trains to become a submissive.  Without doing so it will be difficult to read this series. It can be done, but for the enjoyment of this series it's best to read the first series prior to starting this one***

This series picks up right after graduation in which headmaster collars Brie and resigns as headmaster embracing his new role as Brie's new master.  He immediately takes her home and welcomes her into her new life in which she will leave her job at the tobacco shop and work on her documentary.

Everything Brie has learned will be put to the test as her Master continues to train her and she grows as a submissive.  She will quickly learn what her Master likes and what he dislikes as he encourages her to embrace her submission.  There are a lot of people who are against their relationship and look down upon her since Thane has stepped down as headmaster of the training center.  Her parents don't agree with their relationship even just knowing they are dating, the sub at the training center don't think their relationship will last, and there is Faelon who is still convinced that Brie should be his submissive.  While Brie struggles to accept that her Master does truly love her and will not leave her.  But while Brie begins to embrace her role in her new life, Master struggles with his own demons from his past.  His father who committed suicide, his mother who he disowned, and a lover from the past that still thinks she has a chance to be with him.

These novellas don't just show the growth of Brie through her lessons, they also are about both Brie and her Master following their dreams and what must be done in order to achieve those dreams and her Master's struggle to cope with his past for the first time.

While I could give you a complete rundown of what is in every novella, I won't do that.  Why?  Because in doing so it will take away too much from the overall story and then there won't be any point in reading it.  This is by far one of the best series I have read as it gives you a real look into a d/s relationship that can be hard to grasp when just told by one book versus a series.  The scenes are great and the relationships between the characters in this series are well developed and leave you yearning for more of the characters long after the story is over.  I would have to say that my favorite novella was Brie's visit to Russia, why?  You'll just have to read to find out why *wink*.  I give it 5 stars and look forward to more of Red Phoenix's work in the future.
