So unknown to his mother, sister, and her family he becomes an escort to pay for her care and medical trial to try and reverse some of the effects of the disease. It's been eight years. Most people would think he lives a great life. But as time has gone by, these women have in a lot of ways just become a paycheck, a way for him to support his mother. He dreams of the next chapter in his life where he can do other things he's always wanted to do and no longer has to lie to his family. Everything is going great, that is until he goes on his yearly trip up to a cabin with his sister's family. It's here he must come face to face with a woman that he hasn't seen since he was a teenager and she went down on him behind a shed. He hasn't seen Mia since the day before her family moved away. When he was a teenager he was in love with Mia, but it never went beyond that one time and the crush he had on her for years.
He's drawn to her, unable to stay away even knowing that he cannot start a relationship with her while he's an escort. They fight their growing attraction to one another, but when Coop's sister suggests that Mia stay with him until she finds an apartment closer to her nursing job things between them quickly heat up to a boiling point. He knows he can't have Mia unless he tells her the truth, but he can't lose his job since it helps support the medical bills for his mother. Coop thought he was unable to feel again after what his ex-wife did to him in college, but a few weeks with Mia has Coop realizing that the feelings he's had toward Mia when they were teenagers never really went away. When things hit the fan in his life, can he finally come clean and keep Mia in his life?
This story was an interesting one. Told from the male POV it really helped the reader connect with Coop and the experience and feelings he has as he works as an escort. His life looks perfect from the outside. He looks good and he knows it, he has great sex all the time, and more money than he'll ever need. For a lot of the book I really honestly didn't like him. But as I delved deeper into the book, I began to realize that Coop the escort and Coop the man were totally different people. Tease is full of sex and passion and Coop's search to discover what he wants out of life all the while trying to figure out how Mia will fit into all of this. Overall this was a good read, and I look forward to Missy's next book, 4 stars.
