Blog Tour: Hers by Dawn Robertson - Review

I am weak.
I am lonely.
I am a slut.
I am strong.
I am Dominant.
I am independent.
I am Seven James.

My entire life, no one has wanted me, and that was fine, because I sure as shit didn't need anyone else. Blah, Blah Blah, insert sad story here about negligent parents, and shitty siblings, and you have my life story in a nut shell. When my college boyfriend dumped me, it was just icing on the cake. Five years, and a booming career later I am here to collect my revenge.

That was until a delicious plaything walked into the kink club I frequent, and rocked my typically un-rockable world. Causing me to break the one rule I have lived by since Daniel Alexander walked out of my life, never have sex with the same person twice. Ever.

Warning!!!! Hers contains sexually explicit situations that may be uncomfortable for some. These include FF, FMF, and MFM interactions

Seven James is an independent business woman that doesn't let anyone or anything stand in her way.  Ever since she let Daniel Alexander get the better of her and left her hanging she has been determined not only to rise to the top but to take Daniel down the way she's always wanted to.

Her chance comes when the majority share holder of Alexander Mobile decides to sell her his shares making her the new CEO of Alexander Mobile.  Her personal life has been something she also always have been in control of.  She never sleeps with the same man twice, she never allows them into her bed, and she will always be known to them as Mistress Marilyn.  She must always be the dominant never to be dominated.  She should be satisfied with her best friend Star who she occasionally hooks up with, but her body craves the satisfaction of a man.  The night she meets Levi Parker changes everything.  Levi will do anything just to have a shot at her.  Right from the beginning he's will and able to do whatever it takes to keep Seven satisfied.  But what Seven wants is only a one time sex event and nothing more.

What she doesn't expect is to walk into Alexander Mobile and discover among the board members none other than Levi Parker.  Levi hasn't been able to forget Seven, Seven hasn't been able to forget Levi.  She finally has met her match sexually and the man will do anything and have Seven anyway he can up to and including a three-way with another man from the club she frequents.  What started out on revenge against Daniel Alexander has grown into so much as Seven fights to maintain her distance and fight her growing attraction to Levi.  Can she finally let go and move from the damage not only that Daniel did but her parents, her brother Blue, and even Star's betrayal?

I enjoyed this book, while I wish it could've been a bit longer and they're relationship a little more developed before the end of the book I was very excited to find out that there will be another book after this one of their Christmas together and also that Finding Willow is soon to be released as well.  I have read a lot of negative reviews as of late on Amazon, but for me I enjoyed this book.  Sure I may get pies thrown at me on Amazon like I have in the past, but I have read some bad books in the past, and believe me when I say this isn't one of those books.  Sure if you don't like f/f and m/f/m in your novel well then yeah this isn't the book for you, but for me I just think it added more depth to the book itself.  Seven was such a strong woman who didn't let anything in life get her down and Levi was a strong male character that fought tooth and nail for exactly what he wanted.  Well written and enjoyable, Hers is a book I will not soon forget and I look forward to the other books in this series and more of Dawn's work in the future, 4 stars.
