It’s been more than a year since Alex and Paul first got together. She’s come a long way and opened up her heart to him and now proudly wears his collar even after both swore they would never be in that type of relationship again. They’ve since moved in together and found that they are compatible in every way possible. Alex has even left her job and does PR for the nightclub now.

But while their world is perfect, there are others around them that don’t like their relationship. After a year and a half of being gone, his ex wife Jessica returns to the picture trying to reclaim what she still considers hers, Paul. Paul doesn’t want to go back to her, after she completely broke him and his heart, he has no desire to return to New York and help her with the club that he left her. But with the return of Jessica, he can sense that trouble might be brewing.

As if that’s not enough to have to deal with, the night of their club party, one of the bouncers thinks they saw Will at the front door trying to get in. Paul doesn’t want to tell Alex that he thinks Will has returned, she’s dealt with enough stress from Will in the past and all he wants is for her to be happy.

Will his decision not to tell her about Will become an issue later on? What exactly happens when Jessica returns with a vengeance? Will those send her running, or the possible talk of marriage?

One of the things I love about Scarlett is that she’s great at telling passionate and sexy stories that are short and hot. She has a great gift for drawing you into a story and keep your attention until the very end. This was no exception with this series. They’re not too short and not too long and the wait for the next Novella is never too long. I am very much drawn to the story of Alex and Paul and cannot wait to see what happens in Forever Mine in October.
