Blog Tour: Take Me Out by Danielle A. Elwood, review & giveaway

Take Me Out Banner.1
Charlotte grew up in the Boston socialite spotlight. Bentley grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. One chance baseball game will change both of their lives forever. But will their relationship stand the test of ex-lovers, arson, and Charlotte's parents?

Charlotte Windsor, known to her friends and family as Charlie has vowed to take a summer to herself and not think about men or date anyone.  Just be herself and enjoy her free time.  That theory is blown out of the water when she attends a Red Sox baseball game at Fenway Park and finds Bentley sitting in the seat in front of her.

She tries all she can to ignore him, but with his tattoos and good looks Charlie finds herself drawn to him.  Even more so when he starts flirting with her.  They share a kiss that Charlie will not forget anytime soon and he serenades her during the 7th inning of the game.

Charlie tries all she can to put him into the back of her mind and not think about him, but it's easier said than done when all Bentley wants is her.  Bentley will go out of his way to find a way to get Charlie to go on a date with him.  His past reputation is hurting him though once she kinds his Facebook full of photos of various women that he's picked up while out for a night on the town.  Charlie decides to put it all behind her for the moment and just let things flow as they will.  They stay up together and talk the entire night, and Charlie has never been happier.

That is until Shay her best friend and roommate sends her a photo of him with a woman in a bar less than a few hours after he was in bed with her.  Charlie is devastated so she does something she never thought she would, she decides to start pursuing a man her parents know named Landon.  Landon is nice enough, but Charlie thinks there is something off about him she just can't put her finger on what it is.

Bentley and Charlie have the odds stacked against them.  While they are falling deeper for one another, a mistake from the past returns, there's arson, and a secret that Bentley has never told Charlie.  Will their feelings for one another be able to tests that are thrown at their new relationship?

I liked this story.  The plot was easy enough to follow and enjoyable.  I have read a lot of reviews on this book that refer to grammatical errors in the text.  I am unsure if I received the same copy as everyone else, but I didn't see the amount of errors that were referenced to in this text.  While this was a good read, I would have liked to have seen a little bit more baseball since it was brought up at the beginning of the book so I thought perhaps there would be more of that involved.  I also am a bit confused when someone from his past shows up.  There is an email exchange and then the person just drops off from the story.  That made it a little odd to me because it made it seem like perhaps she would be returning to the picture but it didn't happen.  Would also have loved to have seen an epilogue at the end.  For me that's one of the best parts of a book is to see the ending at a future time of the book.  Over all it was a cute book that I enjoyed, 4 stars.
