My review: I Remember You by Scarlett Metal

Lance never got over his teenage love despite years of trying to forget her with alcohol, music, and other women.

Samantha dated lots of different guys after Lance, guys most girls would love to have even a chance with. No one can make her happy though; she compares them all to Lance.

Fate brings them together when Lance is in town for some family business. They end up spending a passionate night together but can they be more? Can they finally find their happily ever after?

Contains adult situations and language. Appropriate for ages 18+.

Samantha always thought she would marry Lance that he was the one true love of her life.  That was until the day that his ex that he slept with when their on again off again relationship was in one of their off stages.  The girl shows up unexpectedly and announces that she's pregnant and when Lance breaks the news to Samantha she runs away and tell him to never contact her again.

Years later even with the knowledge that the baby that his ex was carrying was not his, he doesn't tell Samantha and he leaves town to pursue his dream of becoming a rock star. Lance always thought Samantha was too good for him so he let her go but has never been able to love another.  He's lived a hard life full of alcohol and tough times but eventually he's able to pull through.  Samantha has been with many men but even after all this time, her heart still belongs to Lance.  So when Lance returns to town with his mother to take care of some business, fate is on their side and they run into one another at the gas station.  Samantha can't help but feel those old feelings rising to the surface again when she sees him so on a whim she goes online and purchases and ticket to see his concert in a near by town, little does she realize that the ticket is in the front row.

Lance is shocked to see her there and so he goes about reintroducing himself into Samantha's life.  Can they give love another try?  Is their love strong enough to withstand his fame and the past that tore them apart?

I loved this story.  It was short and it was sweet and I really enjoyed reading it, being able to connect with the characters in this story right up until the end.  It was nice to read a book that was short enough for me to finish in one short sitting, 4 stars!

Scarlett lives in the Midwest with her family. When she's not busy writing steamy stories, she can be found with her nose in a book, camping, or geocaching with her family. She loves Diet Coke, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, and 80's hair bands.
