Review: Faye had everything in life figured out. That is until she finds her long time boyfriend in bed with another woman. From that moment on, Faye has decided their relationship is done. Doing something out of the norm and goes out for a night only to run into Dex. She hasn't seen Dex in years, and the childhood crush she had on him is nothing compared to the attraction she feels towards Dex now. He's no longer the young man she fell in love with but rather a man who still finds her attractive. She throws caution to the wind and spends one amazing night in his arms and walks away the next day.
Well, that is until she finds out she's pregnant. There's no way it's Eric's baby because they weren't having sex at the time they broke up and the only man she's slept with recently is his brother Dex. Her parents don't care that she's pregnant, they want nothing to do with her forcing her to leave by nightfall the day they discover she's pregnant. Wanting to get away from Eric and not daring to tell Dex that she's pregnant, she leaves town and doesn't look back. Well, she doesn't get far because Dex finds her and drags her back to the Wind Dragons MC clubhouse. 'Sin' as he's now known is the VP of the Wind Dragons and wants to protect the family that he now has, but his obligations to the MC also fall on to his plate.
As Faye tries to find her place within the women of the MC and tries to find out her role in Dex's life, she must decide if her place is with Dex or if she should try to leave town again. When his past comes back, is this something they can get passed or will it be the things that tears them apart?
This was a great story. I should warn you this isn't a "dark" novel. If you think that's what you are going to get, you aren't going to get it. If you are looking for a love story, that's what you are going to get. I loved Dex and Faye. They weren't your typical couple and they didn't go into this thinking they were ever going to get one night alone together let alone end up living together. This was a great first novel in this series, and I look forward to the other books that are going to be coming up in the future. This is my first time reading one of Chantal's novels, it won't be my last one. This is a 5 star read and worth every penny I paid for it.
