Liv Michaels is about to land her dream job as a reporter but she needs to complete one story before she can get there. Imagine her surprise when the instructor of the class and the person she is supposed to interview turns our to be none other than Vince Stone, known to Liv as Vinny. It may have been seven years since she's seen him, but Liv would know Vince anywhere and she is shocked and a bit upset to find out that's who she'll be interviewing.

Vince has never forgotten Liv, ever since she tutored him in high school. But Vince had his chance with Liv and instead of being with her, he choose to run away and never come back, leaving Liv alone and heartbroken trying to forget the man she not only spent hours with, but ultimately fell in love with.

Vince is not willing to let his chance go without being with Liv again, but Liv is not having it and tries to get out of the assignment, but Vince will do anything to make sure she stays on the story. They grow closer to one another and before Liv knows it, she's in Vince's arms and back in his life. Their connection is explosive, taking off right away and continuing to grow deeper and deeper as the days pass. But the paper has secret about Vince and they want Liv to confirm it. Will this be what finally tears them apart as Liv must decide between the job that she loves and the man that has captured her heart.

This story was a great one since it now only told the present in both of their points of view but also gave you a glimpse into the past and why so many things happened the way they did between these two. For Liv, Vince will always be the man that captured her heart. For Vince, Liv will always be that sweet girl who was too good for him. But seven years later, Vince is going to do everything in his power to convince her that he's the right man to be in her life. With his upcoming fight, he doesn't have time to concentrate of anything else, but he still makes Liv his entire world. The scenes were passionate, the story captivating, and I loved every second of it. I cannot wait to see if there ends up being another book in this series, 4.5 stars.
