MY REVIEW

***WARNING - This is a novella.  It is meant to be read as part of the series.  If you have not read it, you will be able to read the novella but not understand what the characters have gone through.

Welcome back to Brodie Castle.  Out the cut down the perfect tree for Lady Isobel's Christmas celebration, Robert quite literally is almost barreled over by someone on a horse wearing a hood.  His men and him are ready to strike.  Imagine his surprise when he lowers the cloak and discovers it's a woman.  He recognizes the woman as Suzanna MacEalan the daughter of an enemy.

None of that matters to Robert when his gaze settles on the beautiful woman, no woman can tame his heart, that is until Suzanna.  Suzanna is determined to fight him tooth and nail.  Her mother taught her not to trust a man EVER.  But something about Robert has gained Suzanna's trust.  Can Robert convince her that the safest place for her is behind the walls of Brodie castle?

Among the festivities of the first ever Brodie Clan Christmas, can Robert convince her the safest place for her is there and in his arms?  Can she let go of her distrust in men to let Robert in completely?  Can he protect her from her father and the men who wish to take her back as prisoner.

If you loved Forged in Dreams and Magick you will absolutely LOVE this novella.  It brings back all your favorite characters from the first book.  Suzanna is a nice addition to the clan's story.  She's strong, passionate, beautiful, and scared all a combination that will give Robert a run for his money.  Robert is one of the sweetest book boyfriends I have ever read.  He knows what he wants and goes after it putting him high on the list of most memorable men.  I cannot wait for the next book the wait will be long, but for more of the stories in the Scottish Highlands, the wait will be well worth it, 5 stars!
