My Review:

Melissa Jones was just looking for a week away at the spa to escape her life back home. Preparing to leave her husband wasn't an easy task especially after what she's been through in the past year. Going straight to the bar and trying to drown her sorrows, she finds herself sitting at the bar in Arizona face to face with a gorgeous man who has her held captive with his gaze.

Derek Alexander is an ex-marine and ex-cop who's at a banking convention with his partner. He's the top investigator in his field, who's there for the week giving seminars on security. What he doesn't expect to find at the bar is a woman who looks sad and wants to forget all her problems back home.

Neither was expecting to find the other, neither was expecting to feel the passion they feel, but they share a passion that is unmatched. They find themselves locked in an embrace their first night together and as much as Melissa wants to fight it she's attracted to Derek. She's unavailable in every single way, but her body and heart don't care about her reality. Unable to stay away from one another their lust for one another explodes into a week filled with passionate and carnal encounters that bring them closer to one another.

But when their week is up, Melissa must walk away and go back to her home with Sloan, the man who is soon to be her ex-husband. Sloan has only ever been interested in having a trophy wife, and not an actual wife that he loves. In the past year, they grown further and further apart with Sloan spending most of his time away on business and loads of money on escorts while leaving his wife at home alone with no one.

Melissa is unable to forget Derek, but Derek is not who he seems and has a secret that can change everything for her forever and a husband unwillingly to let her walk away quietly. In the end can Melissa get away and find the life and love she deserves?

I am now a huge fan of Tia's writing. The story wasn't long but her writing was filled with love and passion. I was able to finish this story in one day and this book hooked me from the first chapter, all the way through Melissa and Derek's story, and right to the last sentence. I especially loved the epilogue at the end. I cannot wait to read more of Tia's work in the future, 5 stars.
