Alayna Withers has only had one kind of relationship: the obsessive, crazy stalker kind. Now that Hudson Pierce has let her into his heart, she’s determined to stay away from her past tendencies and develop their love into more than just amazing sex. At least Hudson is as dedicated to her as she is to him, though she could do without his new found jealousy and need to control everything. To complicate matters, Hudson has his own baggage including a penchant for mind games and a hateful alcoholic mother who’s set on destroying any happiness he might find with Alayna.
Needing insight, Alayna turns to an unlikely source—Celia Werner. Celia’s been in love with Hudson herself and knows how to ride the rocky waves of the emotionally closed-off man. But when Celia’s true motivations behind their friendship are revealed, Hudson’s commitment might not be as solid as Alayna thinks, and even their all-consuming passion for each other isn’t enough to fix their mistrusts. This is the first relationship where Alayna hasn’t spiraled out of control. And she might lose Hudson anyway…
Fixed On You
Found In You
***WARNING - If you have not read Fixed On You, that is a must before reading this review or Found In You. In some cases you can get away with not reading the first book in the series, but in this case it's 100 percent necessary to read book one to understand the dynamic of these characters***
The cover - I thought the cover of Fixed On You was hott, but this cover took it to a whole new level. The cover makes you feel exactly the way the book does. You feel the passion and emotions of both Hudson and Alayna and it will strip you bare just like their relationship with one another does to them.
Their relationship shouldn't work with Alayna's past stalker tendencies and Hudson's need to manipulate situations and play games this should be a match made in hell right? Well if you think that you'd be wrong. Alayna and Hudson share a passion for one another, more than just a physical one but an emotional one as well. Well, as emotion as Hudson can get since he still believes he's unable to feel love or emotions. This book picks up right where book one left off. There's no going back and dwelling on the things that happened in book one, it just moves straight forward.
Alayna and Hudson went through a lot together in Fixed On You, and have decided to give a relationship together a real shot. What started off as a fake relationship to fool his mother Sophia, has turned into actual feelings for one another. Hudson beings her to the one place he doesn't bring women his penthouse? Why? Because after he's done playing his games with women they don't know where he actually loves. It's quite brilliant honestly, but with Alayna, Hudson doesn't want to play these games. Their relationship moves quickly, Alayna spending her days and nights in Hudson's arms. But being new to a healthy relationship, you can see that she still holds a lot of those doubts about whether the man she is with really cares for her or if there is someone else.
To talk these fears out, she doesn't turn to Hudson, but to the one person who knows him best, Celia. She finds Celia after their first night together putting away the books Hudson had delivered. She finds the one person she can talk to, the one person that knows all about Hudson and that he trusts. Even after Hudson tells her not to have contact with Celia and that he won't, she continues to see her, going behind Hudson's back.
Alayna still has some doubts and fears, but with Celia's advice she's able to look past some of her doubts, even if it's just for a short period of time. Alayna is finally growing and moving past her stalker tendencies when someone from the past returns, putting everything she's worked towards in jeopardy. With so many factors working against them, a past that Hudson refuses to reveal, and so many that want to keep them apart do Alayna and Hudson have a chance to survive even without Alayna's stalking tendencies? Or is this relationship doomed to fail just when it's started?
I loved Alayna in this book. She's grown and developed so much since the first book, finally able to have a real relationship with a man without destroying it with her need to cling to a man. She's got so much going for her, a great job, a man that she loves, and she appears to be doing as great as a normal person would. But there's always that voice in the back of her mind that has her questioning things, wondering if things are going on behind her back. It was nice to see her work through these things, it really showed how much she grew.
Hudson. He's hot, he's dominant, and he's passionate. Did I mention that he's hott??? What more needs to be said about that man? There are just so many question marks in my mind surrounding this man and his past. He says he's an open book and has nothing to hide, but he really does because there are just so many unanswered questions that I NEED answers to and I hope I get those in the third book. He is so romantic in this book and he doesn't even realize it. That's what makes him such a great man. He says things not to please a woman, but because deep down that's how he really feels. *sigh*
Finally - Celia. Oh Celia, what am I going to do with you? I could sense there was more to her at the beginning of the book than meets the eye. She was a manipulative, conniving b (which I could write the word on her) who needs to get herself slapped in the face. I still wonder what her motives were and I have a feeling that is yet to come, but I want to slap her, no I need to slap her because people like her need a good whopping. Shame on you Celia that's all I'll say.
I really look forward to seeing where the next book goes, if Hudson will finally be able to say what has been left unsaid. The helpless romantic in my is dying for it to happen. Short, sweet, and to the point, Found In You is just the right length and doesn't drag out the story. Complete with an ending that doesn't leave a big fat 'what if?' moment at the end it still leaves you wanting more and waiting for the next installment. (I'm secretly thankful for not having a big giant cliffhanger there are so many of those these days.) I'm also curious about the video, I really want to know what's on it, that's all I'll say. But if you read and enjoyed Fixed On You, you'll love Found In You even more because the story was just as great as the first one, 5 stars.

Laurelin Paige is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Mad Men and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Adam Levine. She is represented by Bob Diforio of D4EO Literary Agency.
