Cherry's Drink is a Cherry Tart Tequila Sunrise:

Ingredients:
Ice
2 oz tequila
1 oz cherry brandy
4 oz orange juice
¾ oz grenadine syrup
slice of lime to garnish

  1. Fill a high ball glass with ice and set aside.
  2. Combine tequila and orange juice in a cocktail mixing glass. Add 1 cup ice, stir, and strain into the prepared highball glass. Slowly pour in grenadine and cherry brandy and let settle.
  3. Add a slice of lime for garnish.
  4. Stir before drinking.

My Review

Cherry Kilgore is a plus size beauty.  By day she’s a temp by night she’s a stripper at a strip club under the name Tart.  She’s confidant in the way she looks and it shows when she dances.  But long ago Cherry was hurt by a man that changed the way she was forever.  She’s now become a love ‘em and leave ‘em girl who uses men and dumps them to the curve before they can hurt her or get too attached.
It’s not until one night dancing that a man with green eyes in the audience captivates her.  She’s drawn to him as he is drawn to her, but Cherry isn’t about to let herself get attached to a man which is exactly what she tells him before she takes off.  Cherry is good at hiding her appearance during the day at her temp jobs she becomes a black haired beauty via a wig and some makeup hiding her appearance.  Very few actually know what the real Cherry looks like, she even disguises herself when dancing by wearing Violet contacts.  It isn’t until she discovers that the man with the green eyes from the club is her new boss Kellan Morgan.

Kellan Morgan is a confidant man who can have any woman he wants and the woman he wants is Cherry.  But Cherry denies her attraction to him, not willing to give into the feelings she has around him.  Kellan wants Cherry but Cherry thinks he’s just after a one night thing and so begins the cat and mouse game.  Can Cherry learn to let her past go and see that all men are out to hurt her?  Can Kellan make Cherry see that she’s beautiful and worthy of love?

This book was great.  At first I was a bit hesitant to read it since I’m not really into these types of books but I was pleasantly surprised to find how much I enjoyed this story.  Cherry was such an enjoyable character and had me laughing on so many occasions.  This book was passionate and loads of fun to read, I highly recommend checking it out.  I give it 4.5 stars.
