Blog Tour Stop: The Solitude of Passion by Addison Moore Review

When old love and new love collide an impossibility is born.

When Lee Townsend’s husband leaves on a community outreach to China, the last thing she expects is for him to never come back—for him to have tragically met his demise.

Lee goes on to marry his adversary and settles into life and business with him, merging her vineyard with his and creating a worldwide conglomerate.

Five years later a twist of fate brings the past back to her and forces Lee to make a decision that will change the landscape of her life forever.

Secrets emerge, forcing relationships to be examined—magnifying the surprising true underpinnings of her marriage to both Mitch and Max.

Lee’s heart is unwilling to surrender her love for either Mitch or Max.
She must choose to carry forward with the past or present.

Lee has a choice to make.
Mitch can’t figure out how to win.
Max never loses.
Worlds collide in THE SOLITUDE OF PASSION

***WARNING*** Contains minimal spoilers

Lee has it all.  A beautiful home, married to the man of her dreams Mitch, and she's pregnant with her first baby.  Her perfect world is about to fall apart.  Mitch Townsend's brother Colt is suppose to be headed to China for a community outreach project.  But in a twist of fate, Colt falls off the roof and breaks his leg leaving Mitch to go in his place.  Mitch was suppose to only be gone for two weeks, but bad luck is on his side and he's taken to prison as a hostage where he will live in agony for years of his life while life goes on around him.

Lee is devastated when it's discovered that Mitch was killed in China in a car with other outreach workers.  She tries to hold herself together, facing the reality of having to try to save Mitch's Vineyard without him there.  They've been having a lot of problems with it, and with Mitch now out of the picture Lee doesn't know what she will do.  She could turn to Colt for support, but Colt takes everything business like it's a big joke leaving her to turn to the one person that Mitch would never want her to, Max Shepard.

Max has been in love with Lee since high school.  One night at a party, they shared a night of passion together, their one and only night together.  When Max returned home after summer break, Mitch had moved in on Lee.  Max has loved Lee for years and there has never been another girl who has been able to hold his heart.  Mitch and Max are no longer friends, an affair between his mother and Mitch's father ending in his father's death tore their friendship apart and they have been at war for years.  But Max secretly doesn't hate Mitch, deep down he still loves his best friend, so when Mitch exits the picture, Max steps in to help take care of the family of his best friend.  As time passes Max and Lee grow closer to one another and bond with Mitch's daughter Stella forging a bond that ends with them married and a child of their own Eli.

But their story is anything short of a happy ending.  Little do they know that after five years Mitch is still alive and is released from prison returning to turn their happy family and world upside down.  Neither is willing to let her go, both very much love her and the family that has been built.  Lines will be drawn, secrets revealed, who will come out with the family in the end?

WOW.  This story was an emotional one.  At time I really didn't like Lee, wanted to reach through my Kindle and shake some sense into that head of hers.  This love triangle was like a merry go round that just went round and round, circle after circle, no one with a clear decision of their future.  At times I wanted to get off, shut my Kindle off, but I just had to figure out what was going to happen with this love story.  Quite frankly it gave me whiplash trying to figure out where her head was at.  But keeping me interested is what makes Addison Moore such a great writer.  This is not my first novel by Addison, nor will it be my last.  Expect the unexpected in this story because when the bomb goes off in this story, you will not have seen it coming.  Even thinking back on it now, there was no way to predict what would happen, well done.  Because of the twist and turns and ups and downs of this story in the pursuit of happiness, love, and the happily ever after we all dream of I give this book 5 stars.
