Alayna hasn't had an easy past. It's full of secrets and a restraining order that her brother Brian has done all he can to bury. Alayna is looking to move forward with her life. With her MBA in hand she's looking towards becoming manager of Sky Launch the nightclub she works at. It looks like she's got it all, and even has her eyes set on David who she hopes to someday manage the bar with. While Alayna doesn't love David, she has strong feelings for him but not the obsessive type she's had to deal with in the past.

Alayna stays away from relationships, she's had obsessive and stalker tendencies in the past that have really gotten her into trouble. She finally feels like she's in control, that is until she meets the suit. Working at the bar one night, she meets the most gorgeous man she's ever met in her entire life. He exudes sex, he's handsome, and he's confidant. He's the type of man Alayna could see herself falling for and that's a dangerous thing. The man buys a drink and flirts with her and all seems well when he walks out. Little does she know the man she met will enter her life and change everything forever.

It's no secret that Sky Launch has a new owner, but no one has ever met him and everyone is unsure how the new owner will change things. That's when Alayna meets Hudson Pierce, none other than the suit himself. From the very beginning his heated gaze has done things to Alayna's body that she really wishes it didn't and makes her want to run away and never look back. He's the kind of man who could break her carefully controlled world and it scares her. Her would further begins to crumble when David decides they need to take a break from their relationship because he doesn't want Hudson to find out they have a relationship. That's when Hudson approaches her with a business deal. Hudson wants two things from Alayna the first is a sexual relationship, one that he knows will eventually happen and the second is to pose as his girlfriend? His dilemma? His mother wants him to marry Celia his life long friend. But Hudson doesn't want to marry her, he wants her to have a chance at a happy life filled with love and devotion. Issue? Hudson doesn't love, EVER. He claims he isn't capable of falling in love, not even with his own family members.

What does he want? For Alayna to pose as his "pretend" girlfriend. Alayna knows she cannot accept. She knows that she needs to stay away from Hudson at all costs, but she is fighting her attraction to this man, and he wants her to call him with her decision the next day. Alayna is hell bent on telling him know. That is until her brother Brian shows up announcing that he is pulling all financial support from Alayna and is done caring for her. He tells her she will need to leave her job at the nightclub and go work wherever he tells her to go. Alayna has had Brian's support since their parents died when she was sixteen and knowing she just lost his support, she knows she must now turn to Hudson and accept his offer.

Hudson tells Alayna that they will have events they need to attend and he will shower her with love and affection, what does she need to remember? That it's all for show. Behind closed doors, Alayna and Hudson's sexual relationship heats up reaching it's boiling point. It's too the point where they cannot keep their hands off of one another. But one thing Hudson is good at? Turning that off when they are in public and are pretending and turning it back on when they are alone. Alayna knows that she is treading down a dangerous path and tells Hudson they must now have only a professional relationship. Try as she might, Alayna cannot stay away from Hudson long, and he easily welcomes her back into his arms.

Everything goes well on their fake relationship front, fooling everyone around them and Celia knows the plan is working. But Alayna is weary of Celia and the relationship he seems to have with Hudson. This is further implanted into her head by Hudson's mother Sophia who hates Alayna and wants Celia to marry her son. The more time Alayna spends with Hudson the more attached she grows to him. She can feel her stalker nature once again rising to the surface, even showing up at his office building when he's out of town on a business trip convinced he is lying to her. While Alayna is able to get her feelings under control she's still battling to keep her sexual relationship with Hudson just that and outside of their pretend relationship.

When secrets are revealed about Hudson can Alayna work to get passed them? Can Alayna convince Hudson that he can love and is worth being loved before she looses herself?

From the first moment I saw this cover during the cover reveal I knew I had to read it. I was so excited for this book to be released that I told Laurelin as much. I knew her book would be a big hit and I was right it was amazing! This was an amazing story full of ups and downs. I loved the relationship between Alayna and Hudson. I equally loved their fake and sexual relationships. This book was full of highs and lows, at one point I almost (it was tempting believe me) threw my Kindle down ready to give up on Hudson. But this story was well worth the read and a great start to their story and I really look forward to reading more of their story and where their relationship will lead to next. The best part? Right after the ending when it was announced that their story will continue. What will happen with these two? I for one cannot wait to find out, 5 stars!
