KA. Tucker's ONE TINY LIE Release Day Launch

Title: One Tiny Lie
Author: K.A. Tucker
Livie has always been the stable one of the two Cleary sisters, handling her parents' tragic death and Kacey's self-destructive phase with strength and maturity. But underneath that exterior is a little girl hanging onto the last words her father ever spoke to her. “Make me proud,” he had said. She promised she would...and she’s done her best over the past seven years with every choice, with every word, with every action.

Livie walks into Princeton with a solid plan, and she’s dead set on delivering on it: Rock her classes, set herself up for medical school, and meet a good, respectable guy that she’s going to someday marry. What isn’t part of her plan are Jell-O shots, a lovable, party animal roommate she can’t say ‘no’ to, and Ashton, the gorgeous captain of the men’s rowing team. Definitely him. He’s an arrogant ass who makes Livie’s usually non-existent temper flare and everything she doesn’t want in a guy. Worse, he’s best friends and roommates with Connor, who happens to fits Livie’s criteria perfectly. So why does she keep thinking about Ashton?

As Livie finds herself facing mediocre grades, career aspirations she no longer thinks she can handle, and feelings for Ashton that she shouldn’t have, she’s forced to let go of her last promise to her father and, with it, the only identity that she knows.

Born in small-town Ontario, Kathleen published her first book at the age of six with the help of her elementary school librarian and a box of crayons. She is a voracious reader and the farthest thing from a genre-snob, loving everything from High Fantasy to Chick Lit. Kathleen currently resides in a quaint small town outside of Toronto with her husband, two beautiful girls, and an exhausting brood of four-legged creatures.

When I first picked up and started reading One Tiny Lie I knew that the first book in this series was Ten Tiny Breaths what I loved about this book was that even though it's a continuation of Ten Tiny Breaths you can still read One Tiny Lie as a standalone!

Within the first two chapters I was hooked the character in this book is so lovable and well developed that I fell in love with her right from the beginning.  Then I met the other main character in this story Ashton and OH MY GOD the book just got so much better.  I don't think I have ever laughed so much or had so much fun while reading this book.  I started reading this while I was on my break at work and my co-workers were seriously what are you laughing about???  And only one word came out of my mouth and I didn't say anymore to them... Irish.

But this book was so much more than a good time and a funny book it was about Livie trying to discover who she is.  It's been years since her parents have died and she is now in her first year of college at Princeton and on her first day there her sister with the help of Dr. Stayner decide she needs to loosen up and have some fun which result in her doing one too many jell-o shots and making out with a man she's never met before the tall and handsome Ashton.  When she wakes up the next day she finds herself in her dorm room and a very naked Ashton is on the bottom bunk next to her roommate.  What intrigued me at this point was when Ashton asked Livie if they could just pretend that what happened well, never happened.  I knew he was hiding something and I just had to figure out what that was.  Then Livie meets his roommate Conner he's the nice sweet guy that she's always pictured herself with and that her parents would love.  She starts a relationship with Conner but cannot seem to get Ashton out of her head even though he not only has a girlfriend but is Conner's best friend and teammate.

I loved watching Livie's journey to discover what she wants to do with her life and who she wants to be with.  This book was one of the best I have ever read not just because of the romance but because this book had a little of everything and made me laugh and that's rare when I'm reading a book to just smile constantly and dream of the next moment I will have some free time to finish this novel.  (I thought about it so much that I finished it in less than one day because I couldn't get enough).  I highly recommend this book and it will not make its way into my top 10 favorite books and I cannot wait to not only go back and read Ten Tiny Breaths but also see what other books K.A. Tucker has in the future, I give it 5 stars!
